Back 4 Blood, which as its title and the team behind it suggest, will effectively be a spiritual successor to the Left 4 Dead games.
Its creators have collaborated on and created an all-new apocalyptic, zombie-based first-person shooter. There is some good news for all you Left 4 Dead fans, though. Never say never, but at this point, it seems highly unlikely chapter three is ever going to come. A scream could be heard during the Game Trailer for Left 4 Dead, which might seem like a sound for triggering the horde, but it was actually The Screamer being referenced.Back 4 Blood is getting an open beta starting on August 5, 2021, that will be open to anyone who has pre-ordered the game.No screenshots, models or A.I for the Screamer have been found, only it's concept art exists.Since the Screamer was under physical restraint, he did not have the ability to mount any direct attack on Survivors. It was therefore important for the players to kill the Screamer before he could escape and call a horde. If he succeeded in escaping, he would let out a loud scream that alerted a horde, causing an attack - thus, foreshadowing the later Boomer bile concept, and additionally helping to establish early on in production that the Common Infected are driven to extreme aggression as a response to loud noises. The behavior for the Screamer was for him to wander around areas, much like the Witch, paying no attention to his surroundings until coming in contact with a Survivor whereupon, if sufficiently agitated, he would run away from Survivors in an attempt to hide. The Screamer was a cut infected from Left 4 Dead, he wore a psychiatric-style straitjacket. Left 4 Dead Game Trailer (Beta Characters)
